Inspired by vivid memories of wandering through Kyoto’s gardens during cherry blossom season, ‘Marlowe’ evokes a fleeting moment where tradition and nature intertwine.
The different shades of soft pinks are inspired by memories of watching the sunset across the Kamo river, as shimmers of light dance across the rivers surface. The drift of soft petals in the air shape my use of movement in this piece, capturing the moment where light, landscape, and water dissolve into one another, creating a gentle swirl and putting you in a dreamlike state.
